Author Bonnie Tsui will give a talk, slide show and reading Thursday on her new book, "American Chinatown," which includes a segment on Oahu's Chinatown District.

The event, sponsored by the Hawaii Heritage Center, Hawaii Council for the Humanities and the Chinatown Business Community Association, is set for 5 p.m. in the Hawaii Heritage Center's Historical Cultural Gallery, 1040 Smith St., between King and Hotel.
