Skiing: Russian men, Italian women win team sprints

DUESSELDORF, Germany — Nikolay Morilov and Alexei Petukhov of Russia have won the men's team sprint race at a cross-country World Cup meet.
The Russians beat the Norwegian pair of Eirik Brandsdal and Anders Gloersen in Sunday's 6x1.5-kilometer event on the banks of the River Rhine in Duesseldorf, Germany. The Swedish team of Robin Bryntesson and Bjorn Lind was third.
Magda Genuin and Arianna Follis of Italy won the women's 6x0.8K event. Ida Ingemarsdotter and Hanna Falk of Sweden were second and Norway's Celine Brun-Lie and Maiken Caspersen Falla finished third.
