LAHAINA, Maui ‹ Police are trying to identify a decomposed body found yesterday on a beach in Honolua.

A local fisherman discovered the body at 1:15 a.m. in an area between Honolua Bay and Windmill Beach. Police said the cause of death is unknown.

Investigators are checking whether the dead man is connected to a recent missing person report.
