Police are investigating the discovery yesterday of human remains on the slopes of Diamond Head near 22nd Avenue.

Police said a hiker discovered the remains about 7:15 a.m.
They said the remains were badly decomposed, suggesting the person died more than a month ago.
There were no obvious signs of foul play, police said.
An autopsy to determine the cause of death was scheduled for this morning.
