The popular Pigskin Picks contest will begin this week with a new picker, a new drop-off area and year-end prizes for online players.

Billy V. of Hawaiian 105 KINE, voice for University of Hawai'i entertainment events, will be the guest picker. He also will announce the winners each Monday.

Ballots this year can be dropped off at all Papa John's locations.

The weekly winner will receive the Vegas trip, along with four nights at the California Hotel, meal tickets, ground transportation to and from the airport and $100 gift card from Papa John's.

The year-end winner will play a season-long match against other online players.

The player with the best record after the 18-week contest — taking the player's top 14 scores — will win the grand prize. The grand prize will be Papa John's pizza for a year (52), Primo beer for a year, a high-definition TV worth at least $1,500 and Tivo DVR. There also will be second-, third- and fourth-place prizes from Sheraton.
