Paddle upright, clean up right
Tomorrow, you can learn about stand-up paddling while doing some community service, at the Surfrider Foundation Oahu Chapter's cleanup at Sand Island.
From 10 a.m. to noon, Everpaddle will provide demo stand-up paddle boards for use in removing debris offshore and to conduct water testing.
Volunteers are encouraged to recycle old plastic bags, bring reusable water bottles and bring along their "watercraft" of choice for cleaning up the marine debris.
Sunetric Co. will provide lunch and solar-powered live music.
The event is part of the Rise Above Plastics campaign.
