Advertiser Staff

Big Island firefighters were investigating the cause of a 12-acre brush fire brought under control yesterday morning in Ka'u.

The fire was contained by natural fire breaks bordering Ninole Loop and the Punalu'u Golf Course, firefighters said. By 5 a.m. it was under control and no structures were threatened.
