NFL: Bulger has finger fracture, likely out 2 weeks
Associated Press
ST. LOUIS — St. Louis Rams quarterback Marc Bulger has fractured the pinkie finger of his throwing hand and could be out for at least two weeks.
Rams coach Steve Spagnuolo said Bulger will not play in Friday’s preseason matchup at home against Atlanta and is doubtful for the Aug. 27 game at Cincinnati.
The 32-year-old Bulger jammed the finger taking a snap during Monday’s practice.
Spagnuolo said Bulger’s finger has been taped, but is not in a splint. He said the finger has to be immobilized for “a couple of weeks,” but does not require a cast.
Bulger has played for the Rams since 2001. Kyle Boller is expected to start for the Rams while Bulger is out.
