NFL: Brock to miss rest of preseason with broken hand

Associated Press

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. — Colts defensive end Raheem Brock is expected to miss the rest of the preseason after breaking his left hand Friday night.

Brock showed up in a cast for Monday's practice after posting on Twitter that he would miss three weeks.

Coach Jim Caldwell then said Brock would miss two to four weeks but that he expected Brock would be ready to go for the regular-season opener Sept. 13 against Jacksonville.

The Colts also practiced without Pro Bowl defensive end Robert Mathis. Caldwell said Mathis has a bruised thigh. Caldwell did not say when Mathis would return to practice.

The Colts host the Eagles on Thursday night.
