Habitat plans store to sell new & used building materials

Advertiser Staff

Habitat for Humanity Leeward Oahu said it will open a store in Campbell Industrial Park this fall that will sell new and used building materials, with proceeds going to support its affordable housing program in the area.

ReStore will hold preview sales on Saturdays and Sundays starting Sept. 12th from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Additional days and times will be added after a grand opening scheduled for November.
In addition to raising funds for Habitat for Humanity, organizers say the store will be an important way of recycling and reusing products by keeping them out of landfills. In the first year of operation the goal is to divert 100 tons of usable materials from Oahu’s landfills.
