If youre looking for outdoorsy fun this weekend, consider heading to
Kahana Valley State Park, the only state-owned ahupuaça (a traditional wedge-shaped Hawaiian land division) intact from pre-contact times.
This is a great place for your family to learn about life in early Hawaii.
The park includes archaeological discoveries, a fishpond, a fishing shrine, gardens, taro loçi and streams. It is home to residents with historical ties to the valley.
