MLB: A's put Braden on DL

KANSAS CITY, Mo. —The Oakland Athletics have placed left-hander Dallas Braden on the 15-day disabled list with a rash on his left foot.
The move made Saturday before the A's played the Kansas City Royals is retroactive to Aug. 1.
Braden, who was 8-9 with a 3.89 ERA in 22 starts, has not pitched since July 31 and missed a scheduled start Wednesday against Texas. Braden was 7-7 with a 3.12 ERA in 18 starts before the All-Star break, but is 1-2 with a 7.40 ERA in four starts after it.
The A's recalled outfielder Aaron Cunningham from Triple-A Sacramento. This is Cunningham's third stint with the A's this season. He hit .152 with one home run and six RBIs in 16 games with Oakland.
