U.S. loses to Iran in junior men's world volleyball tournament

Iran defeated the United States, 23-25, 25-21, 25-18, 20-25, 15-10, today at the FIVB Men’s Junior World Championships at the Balewadi Sports Complex in Pune, India.
Three U.S. team members from Honolulu played in the match. Tri Bourne (Academy of the Pacific '07) scored seven points on three kills and four blocks. Brad Lawson (‘Iolani '08) scored one point on a block and Erik Shoji (Punahou '08) was credited with 12 digs.
Team USA finished 0-3 in the second round and is 2-4 overall and will play in the classification for fifth to eighth place.
