Man held on assault charge after arguing with girlfriend
A 24-year-old Wai'anae man was arrested Monday in connection with an alleged assault reported by his girlfriend in early June.
The woman, 18, told police she was arguing about midnight with her boyfriend in front of their home June 7 when he grabbed her arm and slammed her into a parked vehicle.
She said she fell to the ground and lost consciousness as the man ran away.
Police said the woman was taken to The Queen's Medical Center, where she was treated for a concussion and released that morning.
The man turned himself in at the main police station Monday and was arrested on suspicion of second-degree assault.
