LAS VEGAS — Sentencing has been delayed to Sept. 16 for a man convicted of 51 felonies in a Las Vegas Strip casino shooting that wounded four people more than two years ago.

A clerk said Tuesday that Clark County District Court Judge David Barker granted a defense request for a postponement of Steven Francis Zegrean’s sentencing, originally scheduled Monday.
The unemployed house painter has been held without bail since his arrest in July 2007 and conviction last month.
He could spend the rest of his life in prison on charges including 16 counts of attempted murder with use of a deadly weapon.
A jury found Zegrean guilty of multiple charges stemming from the 16 shots he fired from a mezzanine balcony at the New York-New York casino.
