Honolulu's Michelle Wie lost ground, while Tadd Fujikawa surged.

Wie double-bogeyed the 18th hole and finished her second round with a 4-over 76 yesterday at the Women's British Open at Lytham St. Annes, England.

Wie carded two birdies, four bogeys and a double bogey for nines of 37-39.

Wie took two to get out of a fairway bunker at the last hole before double bogeying.

"I thought I could get it out but the lip was higher than I realized," Wie said. "I missed so many birdie putts of around 9 feet."

Wie found a few bunkers, just as she had in her opening round.

"There are so many of them out there, you're bound to be in some of them," she said.

The Punahou alum and Stanford student shot 1-over 73 Thursday and her two-round total of 5-over 149 dropped her eight shots back of co-leaders Catriona Matthew (67) and Giulia Sergas (67), who were at 3-under 141.

Meanwhile, Moanalua High alum Fujikawa shot a 3-under-par 69 today in the third round of the Japan Golf Tour's Sun Chlorella Classic in Hokkaido.

Fujikawa was at 3-under 213, nine strokes back of leader Ryo Ishikawa.

Ishikawa, a 17-year-old pro, shot a 71 in the third round at Otaru Country Club for a total of 204, two strokes ahead of Kazuhiro Yamashita (72-206).

Hilo's Greg Meyer shot a 3-over-par 75 for a two-round total of 5-over 149 yesterday, missing the cut (146).
