UMAG, Croatia — Juan Carlos Ferrero defeated seventh-seeded Andreas Seppi of Italy 6-1, 6-7 (1), 7-5 Saturday to reach the Croatia Open final.

The fifth-seeded Spaniard is playing in his first event since reaching the Wimbledon quarterfinals last month.

Ferrero will face either top-seeded Nikolay Davydenko of Russia or No. 4 Jurgen Melzer of Austria.
