Honolulu top-ranked U.S. city for quality of living

Honolulu once again is ranked as best in the U.S. and 29th-best worldwide in a quality of living survey by Mercer Consulting.
The annual survey looks at 39 factors, including crime, political stability, personal freedom, health and sanitation. Honolulu ranked 29th a year ago.
The first three spots belonged to cities in Europe -- Vienna, Zurich and Geneva.
Baghdad once again occupied the worst spot among the 215 cities surveyed, followed by six African cities.
Honolulu beat out a number of other U.S. cities including San Francisco (30th), Boston (35th) and Portland, Ore. (42nd) in the top 50 cities worldwide.
Others placing among the top U.S. cities on the list were Washington (44th), New York (49th) and Seattle (50th).
