4.2 earthquake shakes Big Island

A magnitude 4.2 earthquake was reported shortly before 5 p.m. today on the south flank of Kilauea volcano on the Big Island.
The quake was centered about 27 miles south of Hilo near the Pu'u O'o crater, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. There were no immediate reports of damage or injuries.
The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center said the earthquake was not expected to generate a tsunami.
