Cricket: Pakistan removed as co-host of World Cup

DUBAI, United Arab Emirates — Cricket's world governing body has removed Pakistan as a co-host of the 2011 World Cup because of security fears.
The decision comes after terrorists attacked the Sri Lankan team bus in Lahore and killed six police officers and a driver on March 3.
The International Cricket Council Board announced on Friday that the uncertain security situation in the country had forced the decision.
Pakistan was expected to co-host the event with India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.
