Accused murderer Glenn Keohokapu Jr. testified today that victim Steven Wilcox "walked into my knife" during a fight in a Kane'ohe bar parking lot last year.
Keohokapu also said that Wilcox, 19, held a pair of brass knuckles in the palm of his hand before the fight started but Keohokapu didn't see them during the course of the affray and didn't know if Wilcox actually had them on when he was throwing punches at Keaohokapu.
Silver-colored brass knuckles were found in a bag of Wilcox's belongings recovered at Castle Memorial Hospital after Wilcox died of a stab wound to the heart, police evidence specialist Doryn Matsuda testified.
Circuit Judge Virginia Crandall initially ruled that the brass knuckles could not be introduced as evidence in the trial but later reversed that ruling.
