Former NBA player Kirk Snyder indicted

Associated Press

LEBANON, Ohio — Former NBA player Kirk Snyder has been indicted on charges stemming from a break-in at a neighbor's home last month in southwest Ohio.

A Warren County grand jury indicted Snyder on aggravated burglary, assault and felonious assault charges. Snyder was arrested at his home March 30 after a woman told sheriff's officers that he broke into her house and attacked her husband.

Snyder pleaded not guilty in Mason Municipal Court and remains in jail on $500,000 bond. The indictment released Monday transfers the case to state court.

Snyder was the 16th player taken in the 2004 NBA draft. He played for four teams in four seasons — the Jazz, Hornets, Rockets and Timberwolves — and spent the past season in the Chinese professional league.
