Online travel sites offer refunds if ticket prices drop
Advertiser staff
There is a little reassurance for travelers who are unsure whether to buy airline tickets or a vacation package now or take a chance on prices dropping later.
Several online booking sites offer refunds if the price of your ticket or vacation package drops after you buy.
— Book a vacation package by May 31 on Travelocity.com, and if another customer books the same trip for less, you'll automatically get a reimbursement for the difference.
— Priceline offers the same offer for both vacation packages and airline tickets, through June 1.
— Orbitz has no end-date on its Price Assurance offer, which will mail out a refund if another customer buys the same ticket for less.
