Kidnapping case suspect arrested

Police yesterday arrested a 31-year-old man wanted for questioning in a kidnapping and terroristic threatening investigation.
Toi Albert Nofoa, featured in a Honolulu CrimeStoppers bulletin Monday, was arrested at a Helelua Street home in Nanakuli at 12:50 p.m.
Nofoa was held without charges last night at the main police station cellblock.
Nofoa is suspected of kidnapping his ex-girlfriend, 25, at gunpoint in Ko Olina on Thursday. The woman escaped from Nofoa's 2002 Isuzu Rodeo at a gas station in Hale'iwa, police said.
WAHIAWA CHURCH FIRE WAS ARSON
A fire that damaged a room at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Wahiawa yesterday was intentionally set, according to Honolulu Fire Department investigators.
HFD spokesman Capt. Terry Seelig said the 8:06 a.m. fire at 1403 California Ave. was extinguished in three minutes after firefighters arrived. Damage were estimated at $10,000 to structure and $2,000 to contents.
MAN ARRESTED FOR DAMAGING EATERY
An 18-year-old man was arrested yesterday after allegedly using a baseball bat to cause an estimated $7,900 in damage to a Wai'anae fast-food restaurant.
Police said the man was denied service when he walked up and tried to order food at the drive-through window. He allegedly damaged the restaurant's window, menu board and a TV monitor used to display customer orders about 1:15 a.m. Police arrested him an hour later.
