Burris to give keynote address at interfaith group's annual gala

The Interfaith Alliance will hold its sixth annual celebration and awards dinner at 5:30 p.m. Oct. 12 at the Honpa Hongwanji Hawaii Betsuin, 1727 Pali Highway.
On hand will be Raphael Leonard, A.J. De Guzman and Scott Peters, and keynote speaker is Jerry Burris, former editorial page editor of The Honolulu Advertiser, speaking on "How Free and Fair is the Press?"
Cost: $20 ($15 youths), includes Govinda vegetarian buffet.
