As part of preparation for the Bells for Peace project, which will have all Hawai'i church bells ring for a full minute at 9 a.m. on the second annual Peace Day celebration Sept. 21, the local Peace Bell will undergo cleaning.

The senior class of the Pacific Buddhist Academy and members of the Aiea Lions Club will join forces at x a.m. Sept. 17, removing graffiti and cleaning the bell, which is located at Blaisdell Park in 'Aiea. Information: Thelma Mary Dreyer, 587-7242.
