Bones that may be old human remains were recovered from Iroquois Point in 'Ewa Beach yesterday and Friday by State Historic Preservation Division investigators.

The bones appear to be more than 50 years old, which puts the investigation in the hands of SHPD archaeologists rather than the city medical examiner's office.

A spokeswoman for the Department of Land and Natural Resources, of which SHPD is a part, said the remains were taken to an appropriate depository to be examined.
