Hawaiçi Pacific University opens its 2008-09 theater season with “Rabbit Hole,” winner of the 2007 Pulitzer Prize for drama. The play focuses on a couple, Becca and Howie, trying to cope with a terrible loss while Becca’s family attempts to lift their spirits and bring the couple closer.

GiRL FeST, the arts, performance and film celebration, is in its fifth year. Among the activities:

California’s Damage Inc. is set to rock the island with a Metallica tribute concert. Damage Inc.’s lineup consists of Aaron Pearson, Stephen Goodwin, KK and Larry Howe. Black Prizm will open, introducing the release of its debut album, “The Beast.”

Tickets are on sale for a concert showcasing The Las Vegas Tenors, above, three vocalists who regularly sell out gigs in Sin City with their “popera,” combining opera and pops tunes.
