Conference looks at Hawaii's educational opportunities

A conference, "Education Options in the Islands: Where do you want to educate your child?" will be 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 22 at 520 Kamoku St.
Topics include preschool, public schools, private schools, charter schools, home schooling, tutoring, and college admission. Speakers include Fred Birkett, author of "Charter Schools: The Parent's Complete Guide: Everything You Need to Know to Make the Right Decision for Your Child" and Jacqui Pirl, author of "The Parent's Guide to Private Schools in Hawaii."
Cost: $25 exhibitor (Includes one booth/two chairs) and $10 parents ($15 at the door). Children free with parent.
