Man robbed in Mapunapuna area

Honolulu police have arrested a man Saturday morning wanted for investigation of robbery of another man who was walking in Mapunapuna.
Arrested Saturday morning was a 22-year-old man for investigation of robbery in the first degree of a 42-year-old man. The 42-year-old was walking at 4:10 p.m. on Oct. 7 in Mapunapuna when the suspect called him over, police said. The 42-year-old told police the man ignored him, so he turned to leave, but the suspect struck him from behind with an unknown object.
During a struggle, the suspect took the man's cell phone and fled the scene before police arrived. When the 42-year-old saw the man again Saturday, he called police and the man was arrested, police said.
