TONIGHT'S MIGHT-SEES
"Kath & Kim," 7:30 p.m., NBC. Kath is giddy about marrying Phil. Then her daughter, Kim, grumbles that the mom is too old for a big wedding. Also, jealousy looms. Is Phil seeing a younger woman? Is Craig (Kim's estranged husband) seeing someone?
Don't expect many big laughs. Still, it's a bright-feeling show with fun characters.
"High School Musical 2" (2007), 8-10 p.m., Disney Channel. On the eve of the third "High School Musical" the first for theaters we're reminded of why these are so popular.
The stories are weak, but everything else works. The stars Zac Efron, Vanessa Hudgens, Corbin Bleu, more are immensely likable. The music is bouncy; Kenny Ortega's direction and choreography are vibrant, as you'll see in the opening number.

"Saturday Night Live Weekend Update Thursday," 8:31 p.m., NBC. Here's the last of three Thursday editions.
