Lotte USA Inc. has issued a voluntary recall of Koala's March Crme filled Cookies, the state Department of Health announced yesterday.

The Health Department received notice from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and has been contacting retailers, wholesalers and distributors statewide and asking them to remove the product from sale and contact their distributors for more information.

The voluntary recall by the manufacturer is due to possible Melamine contamination. Consumers who purchased Koala's March cookies are urged to return them to the place of purchase for a refund or discard them.

For more information, call Lotte USA at 269-963-6664, Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (Eastern time).
