A man who scaled the roof of a warehouse early this morning was arrested after he tried to drive a car through the business' bay doors, police said.
The man, a 19-year-old Marine, entered the business through an unlocked door and walked through the business but didn't take anything at 4:25 a.m. today. He started the business' vehicle and drove it through the bay doors of the warehouse, police said.
Upon breaking the doors, the car struck another vehicle parked outside the business. The man leaped out of the moving car and fled the scene on foot, police said.
Police said they found the man in the area of the break-in and after a brief struggle, he was arrested at Pensacola and Waimanu for investigation of burglary in the second degree, fleeing the scene of a motor vehicle collision, unauthorized control of a propelled vehicle, criminal property damage in the first degree and operating a vehicle under the influence of an intoxicant.
He refused to take a field sobriety test.
