Hawaii companies' export efforts hailed

Six Hawai'i companies, ranging from an organic honey producer and Moloka'i gourmet salt company to makers of skin-care products, have been recognized by the U.S. Department of Commerce for their success with exports to other countries.
The companies recently were given the Commerce Department's Export Achievement Certificate that is awarded to small- and medium-size companies that have done well entering the international marketplace. Some of the orders were received after a Hawai'i delegation attended the HOFEX Food Trade Show in Hong Kong as well as a trade mission to Macau.
