The future of Maunalua Bay will be discussed Oct. 21 at a community forum.

The forum will run 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the Hahaione School cafeteria and will include panelists from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, Malama Maunalua and the Board of Water Supply.

The bay has been deteriorating over the past 50 years, and community groups have recently stepped in to clean up the area and restore its wildlife.
