Prosecutors yesterday charged a Kane'ohe man with allegedly allowing unauthorized purchases on a credit card of an elderly man while employed at an electronic store in Nu'uanu.

Joseph Aina Alama-Francis, 28, of a Ka'aluna Place address was charged witrh fraudulent use of a credit card, fraud by a provider of goods and services, three counts of second-degree theft, third-degree theft, identity theft and use of a computer in commission of a felony. He is being held at the main police station cellblock in lieu of $15,000 bail pending an initial appearance tomorrow at District Court.

According to police, the suspect allegedly allowed an unidentified man to charge purchases on the card of an 85-year-old man on three separate occasions. Alama-Francis was identified by his employer as the cashier for those purchases. The company reported him to police, who arrested Alama-Francis Friday at 6:50 p.m. at his workplace.
