CFB: McNeese St. defeats S. Dakota St. 46-44 in 3 OT

BROOKINGS, S.D. — McNeese State stopped JaRon Harris on a two-point conversion run in the third overtime and the Cowboys beat South Dakota State 46-44 today.
McNeese State (3-1) opened the third overtime with a 14-yard touchdown run by Todd Pendland and a PAT run by quarterback Derrick Fourrou.
After Kyle Minett scored on a 2-yard run for the Jackrabbits (3-3), the Cowboys came up with the stop of Harris, who led SDSU in receiving with 176 yards and three touchdowns on six catches.
Fourrou rushed for 102 yards and three touchdowns. He also completed 24 of 28 passes for 297 yards and two scores.
Fourrou scored on a 1-yard run in the first overtime and a 5-yard run in the second. He also scored on a 16-yard run in the second quarter.
Pendland ran 16 times for 99 yards and caught six passes for 111 yards. That included a 10-yard TD catch in the first quarter.
SDSU's Ryan Berry passed for 317 yards and four touchdowns, including an 8-yarder to Minett in the first overtime and a 25-yarder to Harris in the second. Harris also had TD catches of 79 and 7 yards.
McNeese State piled up 574 yards of offense, while SDSU finished with 412.
SDSU's Derek Domino returned an interception 82 yards for a touchdown to open the game.
