WNBA: Parker's jersey sales sets rookie record

NEW YORK — Candace Parker's jersey set a record for WNBA rookie sales.
The Los Angeles Sparks star helped lead her team to the Western Conference finals before losing to the San Antonio Silver Stars on Sunday.
Sparks teammate Lisa Leslie was second in jersey sales at the NBA Store and WNBAStore.com during the regular season, according to the league. Becky Hammon of the Silver Stars was No. 3, followed by the New York Liberty's Janel McCarville and Essence Carson.
Rounding out the top 10 were Diana Taurasi of the Phoenix Mercury, Shameka Christon of the Liberty, Tamika Catchings of the Indiana Fever, Candice Wiggins of the Minnesota Lynx and Tina Thompson of the Houston Comets.
