TONIGHT'S MIGHT-SEE

"True Jackson, VP" debut, 7:30 p.m., Nickelodeon. At 15, Keke Palmer is already a star of movies ("Akeelah and the Bee"), TV ("Jump In") and music. Now she gets a pleasant-enough situation comedy.

Palmer plays a teen with fashion sense, suddenly hired by a fashion firm.

The humor is big and broad, but still better than many of the current kid comedies. Palmer provides intelligence, believability and likability; grown-ups and kids will like her.

"Saturday Night Live," 8:30-10 p.m. and 10:29 p.m., NBC. In a year when its ratings have soared, "SNL" faces the next question: Can it do well with post-election reruns?

The first rerun is pending. Last week, NBC changed that spot several times.

The second is hosted by James Franco, with music by Kings of Leon. The season's second episode was an improvement over the awful opener.

OF NOTE

"iCarly: iGo to Japan," 6 p.m., Nickelodeon. Here's the first movie-length tale, built around "iCarly," a fairly likable tale about teens who have a comedy Web site. They're competing for an international award in Japan. Soon, there's a shabby plane ride, a treacherous competitor and a musical appearance by Good Charlotte.

"CSI:NY," 7 p.m., CBS. Washing up on Rockaway Beach are the bodies of several sharks and one real-estate salesman.

"Mail Order Bride," 7 p.m., Hallmark. Her life in danger, a big-city con artist (Daphne Zuniga) takes a desperate step. When a friend dies, she assumes her identity and takes a stagecoach west to be the new bride of a cowboy (Cameron Bancroft). There was potential for a fun comedy here, but Hallmark decided to play it straight. It emerges with a fairly good character drama, capped by a fierce gun fight.

"The Office," 8 p.m., NBC. In this rerun, the office has been robbed, so Michael has a plan.

"Without a Trace," 8 p.m., CBS. In this rerun, a college student vanished shortly after making racial remarks in class.
