New episodes of "Dog the Bounty Hunter" will begin airing July 16 on A&E after an eight-month hiatus prompted by the star's use of a racial slur.
The network suspended the cable TV show Nov. 2 after learning that Duane "The Dog" Chapman had used the N-word when referring to his son Tucker's black girlfriend in a private call that was recorded. Duane Chapman apologized afterward.
The show's producers said today that reruns will begin airing on June 25. Unshown episodes from season four and new episodes from season five will begin airing on July 16.
However, none of the efforts by Chapman to heal wounds caused by his slur were filmed or will be part of the new episodes, said A&E publicist Dan Silberman.
The show can be seen in Hawai'i on Wednesday at 6 p.m. and again at 10 p.m.
