Dacosin, Liilii lift Castle in tourney

Chandelle Dacosin fired a four-hitter and Leisha Liilii blasted a two-run homer in the first inning as host Castle beat Leilehua, 8-1, yesterday in an O'ahu Interscholastic Association Division I consolation game.

Macee Moe and Kelsea Berinobis each had two hits for Castle. Dacosin struck out three batters.

Elsa Apo batted 3 for 4 and drove in two runs and Angie Sakamoto went 3 for 4 as the Marauders beat the host Hurricanes in an OIA Division I consolation game.

Apo scattered six hits to earn the victory. Kapolei's Kaili Smith had three hits.

Lynze Wakinekoa batted 4 for 4 in support of winning pitcher Sheila Argayo as the host Golden Hawks beat the Tigers in the OIA Division fifth place game.

With the win, Nanakuli earned the last berth into the Division II state tournament.

Marissa Keao fired a one-hitter with eight strikeouts, and Althia Dicion hit a home run in the second inning to lift the Bulldogs over the host Seariders in the OIA Division II third place game.

Keao batted 2-for-4. Wai'anae's Rylen Hoapili doubled and drove in three runs.
