He might have threatened to retire when hip-hop rival Kanye West sold more albums last year, but 50 Cent is still in the business, as far as anyone can tell. He performs tonight at the Blaisdell for the second time in five years and like 50 (or is it Mr. Cent?) does, he'll bring it hard and furious — and he'll be wearing Kevlar.
50 didn't respond to our request for an interview (maybe the questions were too personal?), so we compiled a by-the-numbers list of 50 things that may or may not be worth knowing about the rapper. Call it 50 cents' worth of 50 Cent.
1: Number of children 50 Cent has: one 11-year-old son named Marquise Jackson.
2: The number of books 50 Cent has co-written. His memoir, "From Pieces to Weight: Once Upon a Time in Southside Queens" was released in 2005 and his first novel, "The Ski Mask Way," about a drug dealer who attempts to rob his employers, was released in 2007.
3: The number of albums 50 Cent has made.
4: The number of vials of cocaine 50 Cent tried to sell to an undercover police officer on June 29, 1994.
5: The number of times 50 Cent has appeared as himself on "The Howard Stern Show."
6: The number of months 50 Cent spent in a shock incarceration boot camp at age 14, where he earned his GED.
7: The number of movies in which 50 Cent has appeared.
8: The age 50 Cent was when his mother was murdered.
9: The number of times 50 Cent was shot at close range outside his grandmother's house in Queens, N.Y. The alleged shooter, Darryl "Hommo" Baum, was killed three weeks later.
10: The number of times the album "Get Rich or Die Tryin' " has been certified platinum.
11: The number of times 50 Cent has been nominated for a Grammy.
12: The age at which 50 Cent started dealing drugs.

37: The age at which 50 Cent's mentor Jam Master Jay was murdered. It was suggested that Jam Master Jay was killed for defying the industry blacklisting of 50 Cent.
38: The number of mainstream media outlets that published or mentioned a story about 50 Cent accusing Oprah Winfrey of being an "oreo."

41: This number, added to 40, equals 81, the number of times 50 Cent makes a direct reference to killing someone on his latest album, "Curtis."

44: The percentage of black female adolescents who used drugs and alcohol as a result of watching a weekly average of 12 hours of rap music videos, according to a study published in the "American Journal of Public Health." 50 Cent responded to the study by saying that it's up to parents to explain to their children that it's just entertainment, not a model for life.
45: The number of minutes 50 Cent was on stage for his 2003 Honolulu concert.

47: The number of people (of 540, as of press time) who responded negatively to a video on break.com of 50 Cent and his crew allegedly snorting cocaine backstage at a concert in Croatia. The other 493 commended him.
48: The number of rooms in 50 Cent's Connecticut mansion, which he bought from Mike Tyson for $4.1 million.
49: The ticket price for the cheapest seats for 50 Cent's concert tonight at the Blaisdell: $49.
50: The price point for all G-Unit Clothing Co. items. For example, a pair of jeans might cost $49.50 or a hoodie might cost $29.50.
