The monthlong Prince Kuhio Celebration draws to a close this week with services and a dedication on Wednesday and then a parade and moonlight concert on Saturday on O'ahu and another event on Kaua'i.
Organizers list these events, all free and open to the public:
WEDNESDAY
9 a.m.: Services honoring Prince Kuhio at Mauna'ala (The Royal Mausoleum in Nu'uanu). The event is hosted by the Hawaiian Civic Club of Honolulu. 9 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.: "Mau ke aloha no Hawai'i – Love always for Hawai'i" The Department of Hawaiian Home Lands will dedicate its administrative building, Hale Kalaniana'ole, in Kapolei. 4 p.m.: Prince Jonah Kuhio Kalaniana'ole Celebration Parade, Saratoga to Kapi'olani Park, Waikiki. The Association of Hawaiian Civic Clubs, schools and Hawaiian organizations unite to honor Prince Jonah Kuhio Kalaniana'ole. Grandmarshals: Dr. Kalani Brady and Dr. Claire Hughes. 6 – 9 p.m.: Prince Kuhio Moonlight Concert, Kapi'olani Park Bandstand. Hawaiian entertainment, including Willie K and Kealoha Kalama, cultural exhibits and dinner plates. Honorees: Charlie Rose and Aunty Elizabeth Lau. ISLAND OF KAUA'I

10:30 a.m.: Annual Celebration in Honor of Prince Kuhio, Prince Kuhio Park, Po'ipu, Koloa, Kaua'i, hosted by the Royal Order of Kamehameha. The Prince Kuhio Celebration is sponsored by the Association of Hawaiian Civic Clubs and the Hawaii Tourism Authority, the City & County of Honolulu, Office of Hawaiian Affairs, Department of Hawaiian Home Lands, Kamehameha Schools, Papa Ola Lokahi, The Queen's Medical Center, Queen Lili'uokalani Trust, Bishop Museum, Hawai'i Hotel & Lodging Association and Hawai'i Maoli.
