Tomorrow, the traditional torch-lighting ceremony for the 2008 Olympic Games takes place in ancient Olympia.

After six days of roaming Greece, the torch flies to China, where, on March 31, the adventure begins: From Beijing, it will travel through Central Asia and into Europe, on to the Americas, through Africa and back to Asia: 85,000 miles in 130 days.

Advisories? Not for this globetrotter. Past Olympic torches have traveled underwater and faster than the speed of sound. They've been aboard the Pony Express, on the back of a camel and in a skidoo. A highlight for Torchy this year will be to climb the highest peak in the world, Mount Everest. When the flame arrives in China, one of the lanterns with the Olympic flame will be kept aside. The team will attempt to take the flame to the world's highest peak on a day in May that presents the best ascent conditions. Go flame! http://torchrelay.beijing2008.cn

SELF TOUR

SEE WHERE YOUR FAVORITE MOVIE OR TV SHOW WAS FILMED ON O'AHU

Who knew that the Liliha Bakery on Kuakini Street doubled as the Iowa diner in "Lost" where Kate stops (after she blows up her home and kills her dad)? Or, that the Omega Station in Ha'iku Valley was the center of a Vietnam battlefield, in the 1987 drama series "Tour of Duty"?

Movie buffs can take a self-guided tour to these and many more locations with The Hawaii Movie Tour Map of Oahu. Movie buffs can see where the action happened in "Blue Crush," "ER," "The Brady Bunch," "From Here To Eternity," "Blue Hawaii," "Dog the Bounty Hunger," and, of course, several seasons' worth of spooky sites from "Lost." The map costs $9.95 at local bookstores.
