Golf: Jeev Milkha Singh, McDowell share S. Korea lead
JEJU ISLAND, South Korea — Jeev Milkha Singh of India shot an 8-under 64 today to share a four-stroke lead with Graeme McDowell after the third round of the inaugural Ballantine's Championship.
McDowell, the overnight leader by two shots, had a double-bogey on the 18th for a 66. Singh and McDowell were at 18-under 198 at the Pinx Golf Club, which is hosting the first European tour event in South Korea.
Singh had nine birdies and a bogey.
Paul McGinley of Ireland shot 67 for third place. Johan Edfors of Sweden was another shot back after a 69. Padraig Harrington of Ireland (68) was six shots behind the leader. South Korean star K.J. Choi (69) was 11 shots back.
"I still haven't adapted well to the speed of the greens and I made many mistakes," Choi said. "If the weather is fine tomorrow, I will do my best to reduce the gap at the top."
