TONIGHT'S MUST-SEE

"Gone Country," 6 p.m., CMT/KHON, digital 587. It's time to pick a winner, wrapping up a quick and clever idea for a reality show. The basic notion: Take singers who have little or no country connection. Then let John Rich (of Big & Rich) and his friends teach them about country music and life. Now they perform in a concert and a winner is chosen. No, it's not an even playing field. The three women all were fairly close to having a country sound. There's Diana DeGarmo, the "American Idol" runner-up; Maureen McCormick, the former Brady Buncher; and Carnie Wilson, formerly of Wilson Phillips. The guys had further to go. There's Dee Snider of Twisted Sister, plus Bobby Brown, Sisqo and Julio Iglesias Jr.

"Grey's Anatomy," 7 p.m., ABC. Here's the first half of an exceptionally good rerun. An ambulance crashes at the hospital. Meredith and the Chief desperately try to save the injured paramedics.

OF NOTE

"The Hound of the Baskervilles" (2000, 6 p.m.) and "The Sign of Four" (2001), 8 p.m., Ion (formerly Pax). Here's a Sherlock Holmes double-feature, with Matt Frewer as the crime-solver. The filming is strong and cinematic; the stories are adequate.

"Home Alone" (1990), 5 and 7 p.m., FX. The fine art of the sight gag was perfectly honed by director Chris Columbus and writer-producer John Hughes. Macaulay Culkin plays a lad who's been accidentally abandoned. When burglars come, he creates clever plans — and draws big laughs.

"Bones," 7 p.m., Fox. In this rerun, investigators have trouble because the victim had so much cosmetic surgery.

"A Fistful of Dollars" (1964), 3 p.m.; and "For a Few Dollars More" (1966), 4:45 p.m., Turner Classic Movies. Two immense talents — director Sergio Leone and composer Ennio Morricone — reminded us that cowboy films, amid their violence, could be lyrical works of art. The films' star, then-obscure Clint Eastwood, also did well.

"House," 8 p.m., Fox. This reruns the episode in which Dr. House had kicked his demons, physical and psychological. He's actually running ... and he's caring about his patients.

"The Ghost Whisperer," 8 p.m., CBS. In this rerun, Melinda has doubts about the country house bought by Delia's friend.

"The Ultimate Coyote Ugly Search," 7 p.m., CMT/KHON, digital 587. A new season begins, with 10 women competing to work at a hot bar.

"Numb3rs," 9 p.m., CBS. An heiress has been kidnapped. Officials hesitate, after learning more.
