Lifetime TV channel is planning to make a TV movie out of "Flirting with Forty," a Jane Porter novel about a woman who falls in love with her surfing instructor while on vacation in Waikiki. The TV movie is in pre-production for a December air date, according to the Internet Movie Database.
No word yet on where the beach scenes will be filmed. Real-life surf instructor Ty Gurney, who served as inspiration for Kai, the male lead in the book, said: "We're thinking they may film some of it in Hawai'i."
