Strongest Man competition Saturday

Hawaii's Strongest Man Competition, featuring participants from the Mainland and Australia, will be held Saturday.
The competition will be part of the first Kakaako Block Party, located at Powerhouse Gym at 432 Keawe St.

The event will end with Power Jam Concert at 6 p.m. with Hoku's-award winning Kalapana, Three Plus, Ernie Cruz Jr. and Cory Oliveros.
Competitors will compete in the Farmers Walk, yoke, tire flip, log lift, truck pull and stones.
Farmers Walk: Competitors will carry 275 pounds 200 feet with a turn at 100 feet.
Tire flip: Challengers to flip a 1,000- to 1,200-pound tire 25 to 30 yards.
Yoke: Competitors will carry 800 to 850, 25-30 yards.
Log Lift: Challengers will try to clean and press an 8-foot, 275-pound log as many times as possible.
Truck Pull: Contestants pull a truck.
Stones: Challengers try to lift stones onto staggering height boxes with the tallest box at 6 feet, 2 inches.
