Residents can discover the mysteries of the night sky at a free "star party" starting at 6 p.m. Saturday at Dillingham Air Field in Mokule'ia.

The Hawaiian Astronomical Society is sponsoring the monthly event and providing equipment to see planets, galaxies, open clusters and nebulae.

Bring a picnic but no alcohol. Participants must arrive before 7 p.m. because the gate is locked.
