The 6.9 magnitude earthquake that hit the Philippines this morning has generated no tsunami threat for Hawai'i, the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center in 'Ewa said.

The earthquake struck 13.5 miles north and 125.6 miles east of the Philippine Islands at 4:28 a.m. HST.
